Jane, congratulations on your project! I’m new to crowdfunding campaigns . . . I’m a part of a developing web series (and am currently creating my own!) so there is A LOT of wonderful information to absorb here. Everyone’s response is insightful.
I’m choosing to respond from the perspective of someone who would consider contributing to your campaign. So I wonder, if I am your target audience? What is your demographic and how do you plan to reach them? What is their income bracket? Are they more willing to make an impulse donation due to excitement of the perk - or will they consider this for a moment and think about if this is a cause they want to support.
- scripts: For me, if I’m an avid fan, I’d totally want a SIGNED script. I would pay ~$20.
- early access to episodes: Dude, if the content is good, I’m gonna want this so I can binge watch! ~$ 40
- behind the scenes content: YES! This is so fun to watch! It’s exciting when you get a DVD - or when you watch snippets on Youtube - of bloopers, goofy antics, makeup application, director’s commentary, all that good stuff. ~$60
I agree with everyone else in regards to posters and postcards. Printing might be too expensive. What does your show offer that is different from the rest? I LOVE the ideas mentioned above with the personalized obit. That is cool. Something more personalized . . . That makes me feel addressed and special . . . I’d spend ~$100.
I hope this helps! Best of luck with everything.
