okay, no clue if I actually have a say because I haven’t quite yet released my promo images, but my team has a plan for them. what we want to do are in-character photoshoots – full makeup, full hair, full costume, on set (hopefully in whatever setting the character frequents most). we want to do some promo shoots with multiple characters who commonly interact, and we want to do some with two of our leads who have a storyline about running for student council president against each other-- preferably near the posters we rustle up promoting their campaigns.
as for release, we’re not sure on facebook yet, but the plan for instagram is to use the double-post thing-- where you can now put multiple pictures within a post. we’d do two pictures per post-- any more and people won’t pay attention-- and it’d probably be a picture of a specific lead, and then a picture with multiple people involving that specific lead. caption would probably be like “meet name name, super brief description of character” just to establish main characters before people watch the actual show. as for twitter, the plan is to do close to the same thing. on twitter, to get people’s attention and focus and to also get them intrigued, you need to post two pictures instead of the four you can post. three looks incredibly uneven, four is overwhelming, and one is underwhelming. it would be the same strategy as ig-- “meet name name” etc etc etc.
hope this helped! sorry, I kind of ramble.
