Happy Street is a crime-comedy-series about what happens when a scientist comes up with an idea too good to be true. Or what happens when a cop has had too much to drink. Or what happens when two young archeologists dig where they are not supposed to be digging.
For the students at Hayley University, one of America’s 9 prestigious Ivy League schools, the power is in the hands of the students. Founded in 1850 by Dr. Elias Hayley, the university was born from the radical idea that democratic participation by the students was the only true form of governance. However, what was once an innovative model has now become a stagnant relic of the past. Classism, cultural ignorance, and poor leaders have left the legacy of Hayley with a stain.
However, when incoming freshman Malik Jordan arrives, he wants to change things. Beginning with an interest in getting through his four years without any distractions, he soon develops a drive to challenge the system that has kept so many away. With fresh ideas, intelligence, and charisma, Malik learns to use his political gifts to persuade others to change the campus for the better. But Hayley has a way of doing things, and Sophia Carter, a Hayley council Senator, intends to keep it that way. Can Malik change the system from inside?
