Pinterest as a model for social networks

OneZero has a fascinating article about how Pinterest has managed to avoid the issues that have plagued other user-generated content platforms with algorithmic feeds. For instance, they’ve taken a real stance against “fake news” by only allowing vaccine-related pins from major public health organizations. And counterintuitively, they’ve discouraging social interactions between users because it reduces trolls and spam, even though it may come at the expense of “engagement.”

What are some things that Stareable community members would want to see in a web series-focused social network? @CommunityMVPs

Fortunately, there seems to be minimal to zero trolling/spam on here, so I don’t think there’s any need to strategize to prevent it
