Raise your hand if you're on Patreon (successfully or not)

(Bri Castellini) #1

Trying to get a sense of what creators are attempting to use Patreon, successfully or not.

:raised_hand_with_fingers_splayed:

Unsuccessful (but also having not put a ton of effort into it)

I thought about it, but it seems like too much pressure to pump out content consistently. :woman_shrugging:t4:

(Bri Castellini) #4

Even though you’re constantly pumping out content on Insta?

(Ghetto Nerd Girl) #5

You got me there! Maybe I shall revisit if those videos could be useful to a Patreon audience.

(Bri Castellini) #6

Not that I do this haha but I’ve seen other people who have pretty lowkey “tiers” for lower $$- like just access to a secret Twitter or Instagram account, a monthly update, snippets of scripts, etc

(Ghetto Nerd Girl) #7

That seems doable. I guess it would be more of a Sally thing than a GNG thing since it would be based on whatever project I’m working on even after GNG ends.

(Bri Castellini) #8

That seems to be the best way to frame it honestly.

I’m a patron for a couple of my favorite podcasts and from that perspective, I’m only interested in putting down money if I can get reliable, exclusive content. The podcasters I support are doing this full time. As long as I have a day job (which will probably be forever, let’s be real), I’m not a good fit for Patreon.
