Yuri Lowenthal & Tara Platt (Creators/Writers/Producers/Actors)

(Patrick Thomas) #101

I bet. Lol.
So, Avengers Infinity Wars…your thoughts? Expectations?

(Yuri Lowenthal) #102

It’s still kind of the Wild West! Look at the crazy shows and movies out there that we never would’ve gotten 5-10 years ago! As a consumer I love it. As a creator, I feel like I could make whatever I wanted, I just need to figure out how to cut through all the stuff. I wish I could identify a trend, but I’m too busy making stuff to even be conscious of the trends. That’s… not necessarily a good thing

(Yuri Lowenthal) #103

I try not to have expectations. How do you cram that many people into one movie and make it good? That said, I’ll be first in line

(Tara Platt) #104

We write, we produce, we travel, we learn, we live… Being well rounded as people allows us to be more well rounded as creators… it also keeps our creative juices flowing.

We try to take things to their logical (heightened) conclusions. Improv 101 YES, AND…

Similar to the other Qs… we try to level up in all aspects of life (work more, interact more, engage more, live more) in order to bring more to our future work!

(Bri Castellini) #105

Any digital series you’re really enjoying right now? (other than your own, of course!)

(Yuri Lowenthal) #106

Find people we know who are producing at a higher level than us, and buy them lunch…

(Tara Platt) #107

I am excited about the accessibility of tech and digital media right now. Anyone has the capability of making something amazing for the world to see. The power is in our own hands and the future is ours.

(Yuri Lowenthal) #108

I haven’t had much time to consume lately, but I’m impressed with some of the big bucks being thrown at shows on Crackle. Their shows look like network shows!

(Patrick Thomas) #109

Well to take down a Tyrant like Thanos, u will need tons of people, id assume. Lol. I can’t wait for it. Though, I never watch when it first hits. I wait a day or 2 so that the seats arent all filled.

So hey, since you’re married, is ot true that once you’re married, you never get to win again? Lol.

(Yuri Lowenthal) #110

You can, but you have to diversify. You can’t live off the dubbing rate. You also have to do VG and animation and commercials, and promos, etc.

(Blair Hunter) #111

Any final advice you guys can impart about creativity?

(Tara Platt) #112

IF you are counting things like Netflix as part of the digital landscape – things like End of the F##king World is amazing.

(Patrick Thomas) #113

I just wanted to say thank you both, Tara and Yuri, for talking with us all. Its been really fun. I can no go to work with a smile on my face! : )

(Yuri Lowenthal) #114

Yeah! Don’t wait for the muse. Don’t try to make it perfect. Just make stuff you love!

(Bri Castellini) #115
